The average class size of 20 students ensures individual attention from our world-renowned faculty for students at all levels. Hands-on research projects, service-learning projects, and internships give real-world experience in over 75 different academic programs. These undergraduate programs are contained within 5 different schools: the School of Science and Engineering, the School of Liberal Arts, the A.B Freeman School of Business, the School of Architecture, and the School of Public Health. Tulane also offers students the option to receive their undergraduate degree along with their Master’s degree in a condensed 5-year program. These programs are available in areas like Architecture, Accounting, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Computational Science, and Physics, to name a few.
Tulane is the first major research institution to require public service for graduation, ensuring that our students build a portfolio of experience while engaged with classroom activities. The projects our students participate in show them that they can be a fundamental part of community growth regardless of their academic field. These projects are a real-world application of their theoretical courses. These opportunities make our students extremely competitive candidates for internships and jobs. To further their professional experience, Tulane students also work with our Career Service Center and Alumni Relations Office to prepare for the application process and connect with our worldwide network of alumni who work in every field imaginable. During their time at Tulane, students will be engaged both in and outside the classroom. World-renowned leaders from across disciplines travel to campus every year to participate in panel discussions, lead seminars and workshops, and help students discover the real-world application of their academic pursuits. Students also participate in over 200 clubs and organizations on campus, ranging from international and intercultural groups, religious groups, and leadership organizations, to athletics, social groups, and musical performance organizations.
