Mini is sorta a MkIV/V/VI 998. We did a ground up resto on the car while we were in Japan, so it’s a hodgepodge of bits from various cars between the original 83 to a 94 1275 SPI auto. We have enough spares to build 2.5 other Minis if you have a bare shell, engine/trans, and subframes.

HMU to play Forza sometime (unless crossplay isnt allowed between XB1 - me and PC - you)
If you use PC, do you have any sim games? (Beam - Asseto - iRacing)?

I think they allow crossplay between XB1 and PC, to be honest it's been a while since I've been on but yeah sounds like a fun time. I'd have to check what my MS name thing is, I think it's Nine8yOne or something of that nature. I know I have an old as dirt xbox 360 avatar picture thing lol.

I use the switch for pokemon, the ps5 for gran turismo, and the xb for everything else lol. its my main media player as well.

havent played the new zeldas mainly bc nintendo never puts their games on discount.

Yeah, it's super frustrating that they pretty much never discount anything. I might upgrade to like a 5800X3D and see if I can run Ryujinx or similar to play it, my 3700X didn't love BotW on emulator last I tried it.

Maybe it’s because I’m not a gamer, and I play it to forget the real world for a bit, my way of checking out.

One night I spent 3hrs just walking the south beach/shore of the map flipping rocks and doing puzzles. I like the fact that I can just wonder about and explore the map.

The last game I sunk serious time into like that was The Wind Waker. Zelda games are great. I actually own a copy of breath of the wild and haven't played it

I sat on mine for 4mo, at this point I’m just finishing up the last of the side quests, and 605/900 Koroks found.

Kids got me Tears of the Kingdom for Christmas. I’m afraid of opening it.

BotW was the first instance in quite a while that I got really into a game. I like puzzles, but I also have a very short attention span. Wind Waker has an awesome vibe overall and I should go back and play it on Dolphin or something because collectors ruin everything.

Also, Black Mesa is fantastic all around, if you're into games where you've gotta use your brain it's well worth playing. The soundtrack is also fantastic, and Xen is really well done.

While a 2in1 HDMI splitter absolutely works - AV Receiver would be more expensive but also unlocks so many nice options - get a mid tier somethingsomething like denon and have all the inputs your heart could desire. Also leaves the door open for adding in a little surround sound system to your TV. Nothing like playing a game with directional sounds for footsteps and shots etc. The one I bought 5 or so years ago still supports all the highest imaging passthroughs, surround sound and far more inputs than i know what to do with. It also let me turn my TV into a hotel-mode dumb screen only and run all the internet related things (all the streaming services, music, etc.) through my console(s) so that I wasn't adding more networked devices to the environment.

Looked it up - I have a Denon AVR- something. Something like a Denon AVR-S760H works beautifully and reliably. I got a floor model @ half price from an AV specialist shop and have never regretted it.

Yeah, I think my issue is that I've got really high expectations of myself, like I want to breeze through and then when I encounter something unexpected that I have to work around I get annoyed. But I'm just old man yells at cloud, and it's neat that like there's new stuff keeping things fresh and interesting.

e: I played OG Pearl when it came out (I was in HS) but I definitely skipped several generations, X/Y, B/W/B2/W2, Sun/Moon etc. Some really good romhacks have come out, and I've been enjoying HG/SS somewhat as well. But then Stardew Valley got me back in, and of course Sea of Stars is fantastic and ate up a ton of my time lately.
