Then place it in the Dorito blend, make sure it is coated well. (If you are having a hard time getting Dorito mix to stick then blend a little more).
Place coated cheese triangles on parchment covered cookie sheet. Place in freezer for 2-3 hours (until frozen).
Once frozen, heat 1 quart of oil to 350 degrees.
Place Dorito covered cheese triangles in the oil for 1-2 minutes or until they are lightly browned. (Do not overcook or cheese will melt out.)
Remove with slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to soak up excess grease.

How? First we bake the triangles and then fry them. Last but not least is the flavor. Here each triangle gets a dash of salt or special spice and officially becomes a Dorito!
The key to achieving the perfect Crispy Cooked Cheese is to use cheeses that have good melting properties like cheddar, mozzarella, or Monterey Jack. These types of cheese will melt easily and create that ooey-gooey texture we all love.
The additive, denoted as Red 40 or Allura red on ingredients label, is the most prevalent dye used in many popular snacks and drinks, including Skittles, Doritos and Pepsi, as well as some cosmetics.
Doritos Silent is not a new flavor of chips, but a gaming software that removes the sounds of crunching when playing a game with a microphone. On the official Doritos Silent website, it's described as “Crunch Cancellation software” that “silences the sound of the iconic Doritos crunch.
Consumer favorites like Doritos and Pringles are just some of the chip products that contain MSG (10, 11). Aside from being added to potato chips, corn chips, and snack mixes, MSG can be found in a number of other snack foods, so it's best to read the label if you want to avoid consuming this additive.
Originally Answered: Does Doritos have pork? Unless their is some hidden pork in the flavoring powder (proprietary formulation) then what you have in Doritos is wet ground maize, salt, and water for the chips. They are fried in a veggie oil so no lard there.
The very first Doritos were sort of plain-flavored. American consumers found the chips kind of plain without sauce, so Frito-Lay gave them a sort of Mexican seasoning called “Taco” in 1968. What we think of as the “original” flavor, nacho cheese, debuted in 1974.
Baked nacho cheese doritos were discontinued a few years ago for no reason. Everyone loved them and when people asked them to bring it back but they never delivered. Please help bring back these amazing chips into production by signing this petition!
The recipe starts with Nacho Cheese Doritos, which are then topped with a variety of ingredients: cueritos (pickled pork rinds), small batons of jicama, cubed cucumber, grated carrots, peanuts (most often described by the vendors as japonés, the ones with the crunchy, soy sauce-flavored shell), gummy bears, lime juice, ...
Mexican Doritos are said to have a stronger concentration of flavor, with a greater focus on the cheese and jalapeño aspects. In other words, Mexican Doritos may have more heat than you'd normally expect. This extra burn probably isn't surprising if you live in Mexico, though.
Because microwaves have the ability to penetrate over an inch into the food, if you place a piece of cheese (or a pile of grated cheese) on a nacho in the microwave, it heats not just from the exterior, but from the inside as well, resulting in rapid, even melting.
Nacho Cheese Doritos taste great with queso. Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos go best with guacamole. Cool Ranch Doritos work well with mild salsa. Spicy Nacho Doritos pair well with spinach-artichoke dip.
This is how I do it. Spread tortilla chips on an oven safe plate or pan. Grate cheddar or similar cheese and distribute on top of the chips. Place on the top rack of the oven and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly, usually 2 or 3 minutes.
Ones to avoid are Parmesan and Pecorino (any hard, aged cheeses), goat and feta (any dry, crumbly cheeses) as they don't melt well. Cheeses that are made for melting in grilled cheese and quesadillas include Cheddar, American, Swiss and Cabot's creamy Monterey Jack.
