Wabash used the long ball in game one of its North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader at DePauw University to claim an 8-1 victory over the host Tigers. The Little Giant bats were silenced in game two in an 8-0 loss to finish with a split in the series.

GAME 1 | Wabash 8, DePauw 1
Wabash (11-12, -3 NCAC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Reece Bauer launched his first career home run on a 3-1 pitch. AJ Reid gave the Little Giants a 2-0 lead in the third with a solo home run. DePauw (12-9, 3-1 NCAC) cut the lead to 2-1 with a run in the sixth before a bases-loaded walk by Reid pushed the lead to 3-2.

Bauer added another run to open the ninth inning with an RBI single to score Michael Galanos, who opened the inning with a double. The Little Giants loaded the bases for Reid, who responded with his second home run of the ballgame for a grand slam and an 8-1 lead.

Sophom*ore Caleb Everson (4-2) got the win for Wabash. The right-hander went six innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing five walks and striking out six. Sophom*ore Dylan Haslett pitched three shutout innings while allowing one hit to earn his second save of the season.

Reid went 2-for-4 on the day with two home runs, a walk, and six RBI. Bauer finished the game with a 2-for-3 effort at the plate with a home run, a walk, and two RBI. Galanos put together two hits in three trips to the plate with a double.

In the batter's box, the Little Giants were led by freshman Will Fremion, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double and two walks.
