Sorry for the double post, but I just checked to see if the Scarecrow song would play at the end of OoT in the CE version, and it didn't... I waited for 10 minutes, which I think was a reasonable time to wait. I haven't tried in the MQ version yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Scarecrow song was just a N64-thing only. :\

Alrighty, I've just finished testing it out in LttP (GBA version).
        - I put a Fairy in a Bottle.
        - I got myself killed.
        - Fairy brought me back to life.
        - I saved and quit.

Then when I returned to the menu screen, it told me...that I still had 000 deaths!

So I don't know what happened in your file, dany, but it couldn't have been a Fairy revive that brought that blemish on. *shrugs*

        • Apr 21st 2009

Do that in a Dungeon, the end of the game counts dungeon deaths for some odd reason. The same thing happened to me, I'll test it out again. But I'm sure of it the same way Dany is bc, I too had to start all over after a fairy revive.

I performed my test in the Ice Palace. Still said 000 deaths. Permanently Missable Items - A Guide - Zelda Universe Forums (5) (At least on my menu screen--I didn't bother beating the game during my testing of it today.)

Ok...I guess it's time for me to play through ALttP again, die in a dungeon, get revived, and beat the game to see if I get a 000 ending. B)

I may return to my Ice Palace death file tonight and beat Ganon to see what happens. Permanently Missable Items - A Guide - Zelda Universe Forums (6)

Ok...well, I'm surprised. XD I died at the first palace in the Dark World (the name escapes me), got revived by a fairy, and continued to play the game. Once the staff credits were almost done, it said that I had achieved a 000 ending, so I guess Rew was right!

In PH it is possible to lose one Power gem. After defeating the Temple of Wind you have to go to talk to Oshu and he will give you this the Power gem but if you do not talk to him and go all the way to kill Bellum in the end and save after your fight in the bottom of the Temple of the Ocean King Oshu will not be in his house any more and you can't get the final Power gem. Happened to me on my first try.

                    • May 3rd 2009

Yeah, that happened to me too. D: Had to play through the game again.
I like this thread. It helps me with the statuettes I could miss in TWW.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me if Koboli's, Ilari's and Quil's figurines are permanently missable? If not, I really need to know where they can be found.

I think I messed up with Koboli, he isn't at the postal office desk.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out on my own.

                            Wind waker:

Helmaroc Kings Heart container. After you have talked to Ganondorf at the top of Forsaken Fortress, Valoo burns the wooden apartment, blocking your way to the upper tower. This way you can miss it.

                            • Jun 13th 2009

^ I dont recall a Heart piece in the top of Forsaken Fortress.
There is only one heart piece in Forsaken fortress and it is obtainable at any point in the game.

Heart container. Read the message. Another in WW:

In earth temple, from the room with the giant sun statue (first of them), if you go right you'll come to a room with chest containing small key. From that room there is a door to another room, but that doesn't open if there isn't one standing on the switch. If you have finished earth temple, you cannot enter this room and open the chest.

There appears to be a way to miss out on the Giant's Wallet in OoT. I honestly cannot tell you if would happen in regular play or not since I used the debug rom, but I'll have a video on youtube of what I did later, I'll post it here if you want it. I got the Giant's Wallet, then the Adult's Wallet, and could only hold 200 rupees.

Also, its odd, but Adult Link is able to get the Deku Nut upgrade (through debug rom, and probably gameshark codes). Maybe it is something to do with the way the debug rom works though, so I don't know.

EDIT: further attempts have shown that I am completely unable to recreate the Deku Nut Upgrade glitch in anyway on any version of Ocarina of Time (1.1 cartridge, OoT on CE, OoT+MQ on MQ, 1.0+1.1+1.2+GC+MQ roms, VC). I guess I fail, but in a good way!

                                  • Jun 15th 2009

I have two upgrades nuts and I never got them from forest stage. I bought one deku nut upgrade, And won one deku nut upgrade from hitting the gong thing. So yeah, you don't miss it.

To the above post. I think someone could miss the giant's wallet. Say they saved a ton of skulltulas, but didn't know what they were for, then found the skulltula's house. They talk to all the people and get the giant's wallet BEFORE the adult's wallet.

Did you figure them all out? Ilari's is tough to get if you didn't get him during the Moblin sidequest. But it's possible to get him. You have to fly out to a ledge by where the Kargarok is and zoom in with the camera because standing next to him wont get you a full body shot.
I was so happy when I did this that I cried. And if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have that picture of him in my signature.

Is this still updated? It's been dead quite awhile and hasn't been updated.

                                        Another in WW:

In earth temple, before the miniboss room, there is a room with moblins and poes. In there you can mirror from lightbeam to the otherside of the room. now here's the thing. If you use Medli, you can use Link to reflect the light to the side where Medli is (Opening secret passage). If you have gone through earth temple, you cannot do this (And also miss out a place where there are lots of rupees). This isn't necessary to complete the temple, but required for 100%.

So upgrade this. Because for WW this guide leaves many 100% runs things unopened. So this is becoming useless.

yep. bassically, in WW, if there's anything that has to be done with the controlled sages, you can't do it after you beat their respective temples.

                                          • Jun 20th 2009

Yep. In Wind temple, I think that some chestes (such as the one in the first room) appear after you have completed temple, even if you haven't sprouted seeds.

In earth temple I think that I have found everything.
