On April 19, 2022, Squishmallows introduced a six-tier Rarity Scale, denoting limited edition Squishmallows with special tags [1], each with a fixed maximum production limit before their designs are retired:
Rare: Silver tag, up to 75,000 units globally.
Ultra Rare: Golden tag, up to 50,000 units globally.
Special Edition: Holographic tag, up to 20,000 units, with exclusives like Tonya and Fiorello only in Amazon mystery boxes, and Jazmanian for Jazwares employees.
Select Series: Black tag, exclusive to squishmallows.com, with 5,000-10,000 units; some select series are even more limited, available in sizes like 8" and 16", and some in Mystery Boxes or as 2-packs.
